Lyft is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the Rider experience within their app. You'll lead design strategy and execution, focusing on rider conversion and retention. This role requires experience in the full product design lifecycle.
You are a bold and imaginative Senior Product Designer with 5+ years of experience in product design, particularly in mobile applications. You thrive in ambiguity and have a knack for rapidly prototyping concepts that challenge conventional thinking. Your customer-first mindset drives you to uncover overlooked opportunities and turn untapped audiences into loyal users. You are experienced across the full product design lifecycle — from shaping early ideas to refining the details that ship. You possess strong systems thinking and product intuition, allowing you to lead high-impact work across key parts of the Rider experience. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding the work of other designers to bring innovative experiences to life.
Experience with user research methodologies and A/B testing is a plus, as is familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards. You have a portfolio that showcases your design process and the impact of your work on user engagement and satisfaction.
As a Senior Product Designer on Lyft’s Rider Core Experience team, you will lead the design for high-impact app experiences that are central to Lyft’s growth and success. You will drive design strategy and execution across initiatives focused on rider conversion, retention, and service excellence within the Lyft app. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create seamless and engaging experiences for riders. You will be responsible for conducting user research to inform your design decisions and iterating on designs based on user feedback. You will also mentor junior designers, helping them grow in their roles and ensuring that the design team maintains a high standard of quality in their work. Your contributions will directly influence how riders discover, evaluate, and choose between different ride options, setting new industry standards for transportation experiences.
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the New York City area, between $148,000 and $185,000, not inclusive of potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
