You have a strong background in RF testing and electromagnetic compatibility, with experience in ensuring electronics performance in challenging environments. You understand the intricacies of radio certification and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to compliance testing. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of the design and manufacturing processes align with certification requirements. You thrive in environments where you can apply your analytical skills to solve complex problems and are passionate about contributing to groundbreaking technologies.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are proactive in seeking out new knowledge and are eager to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in RF technology.

What you'll do

As an RF Test Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for supporting pre-compliance testing and third-party certification testing for the Starlink system. Your role will involve developing in-house self-certification capabilities to streamline the testing process. You will work closely with the electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) team, conducting exhaustive analysis and testing at various levels, including board, unit, subsystem, and system levels. Your contributions will play a critical role in the development of SpaceX systems, particularly in advancing broadband satellite internet capabilities.

You will engage with design, manufacturing, integration, and mission operations teams, ensuring that all hardware and electronics meet stringent performance standards. Your work will directly impact the reliability and safety of SpaceX's innovative technologies, as you help pave the way for human exploration of Mars. You will also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
