Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Front End Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and digital transformation in our manufacturing processes. This role combines traditional manufacturing expertise with modern digital solutions to optimize production efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate commercial operations, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization to drive our manufacturing capabilities forward.

Key job responsibilities
As our Front End Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of our digital manufacturing initiatives. Your responsibilities will span across multiple crucial areas of our operations. You'll develop and maintain accurate costing models, generate detailed customer quotes, and create optimized production planning strategies. Your expertise will be vital in providing technical consultation and application engineering support to our customers, ensuring that our manufacturing solutions meet their specific needs. In this role, you'll work strategically with cross-functional stakeholders, including Customer Success, Production Operations, Quality, and Software Engineering teams. You'll be the bridge that connects these diverse groups, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are aligned with customer requirements, quality standards, and technological capabilities. Your ability to collaborate effectively across departments will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives and integrating digital solutions into our manufacturing processes. A key aspect of your role will be leveraging technology to streamline our operations and remove non-value-added steps from our processes. You'll be responsible for implementing and optimizing digital workflow solutions, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, and creating KPIs to track operational performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention throughout our manufacturing operations. -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent professional experience in machining or industrial manufacturing operations
-Demonstrated experience with digital manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 concepts
-Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards
- Familiarity with automation and robotics integration
Leadership & Communication:
- Guide cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements
- Develop and deliver technical training programs - Present operational metrics and improvement proposals to senior management
- Mentor junior team members in manufacturing best practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and influence across multiple departments - Experience with digital transformation initiatives
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of industrial IoT and smart manufacturing concepts
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
