Overview

Appian is seeking a Senior Sales Enablement Manager to drive the success of their Commercial North America sales organization. You'll design scalable programs and tools to enhance seller performance in complex enterprise sales cycles. This role requires strong operational skills and experience with sales enablement tools.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales enablement, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your operational rigor and strong field credibility enable you to build effective training programs that equip sellers with the necessary skills and tools to succeed. You are passionate about driving measurable outcomes and have a deep understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales leadership to align enablement strategies with business goals.

You possess a strong background in program ownership, having designed and implemented scalable training programs that improve win rates and reduce ramp time for sales teams. Your expertise in enterprise and value selling enablement allows you to create executive-ready narratives and negotiation playbooks that empower sellers to navigate challenging sales scenarios. You are also adept at operationalizing AI in daily workflows, leveraging technology to enhance sales processes and drive efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with sales enablement tools such as Seismic, Clari, Gong, and Salesforce is highly desirable. You have a knack for driving tool and methodology adoption, ensuring that sales teams are equipped with the latest resources and insights to succeed. Your analytical mindset enables you to measure program KPIs effectively, allowing you to refine and optimize enablement initiatives continuously.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of designing and running scalable sales enablement programs that cater to the needs of the Commercial North America sales organization. You will work closely with sales leadership to align training initiatives with strategic objectives, ensuring that sellers are equipped with the skills and confidence to excel in their roles. You will develop role-based curricula, certifications, and sales plays that enhance seller performance and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

You will focus on enterprise and value selling enablement, creating resources such as executive-ready narratives, discovery frameworks, and negotiation playbooks. Coaching field managers will be a key aspect of your role, as you help reinforce these strategies within the sales team. Additionally, you will operationalize AI in daily workflows, defining usage patterns and guardrails to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Driving adoption of sales enablement tools will be a critical responsibility. You will partner with Revenue Operations to establish taxonomy and governance for these tools, ensuring that sales teams have access to the resources they need. You will also run enablement analytics to measure the impact of your programs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
