Google is seeking a Product Manager II for their Geo UGC team to drive user-generated content growth. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize skills in analytics and A/B testing. This role requires 5+ years of product management experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. Your background includes at least 2 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or a related area. You have a proven track record of building consumer-facing products and distilling complexity into simple narratives, including executive presentations. With 8 years of experience in consumer product management, you have successfully developed and launched products that resonate with users. You excel at working across functions, collaborating with teams in Engineering, Product, UX, and Analytics/Data Science, and you understand the importance of metrics and experiment analysis, particularly A/B testing. Your familiarity with AI-powered experiences and content abuse policies enhances your ability to contribute to the team’s larger strategies.
In this role, you will drive targeted user-generated content (UGC) growth by identifying and addressing data gaps and deprived segment needs. You will collaborate with partner teams to understand local data needs and strategize on effective UGC solicitation methods. Your responsibilities will include designing, launching, and iterating on new features and experiences in partnership with UX, Research, Engineering, and Data teams. You will leverage your experience in metrics and experiment analysis to inform product decisions and enhance user engagement. You will also play a key role in defining and quantifying business tradeoffs to support the team’s larger strategies, ensuring that UGC remains a key differentiator for Google Maps and Search. Your ability to communicate effectively across teams will be essential as you work to capture targeted content and build innovative contribution experiences.
At Google, you will be part of a mission-driven team that values collaboration and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact user experiences. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
