Who you are

You have solid experience with Python, having developed and maintained backend systems that are scalable and reliable. Your expertise includes building APIs and services using frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, ensuring that you can deliver high-quality solutions. You understand the importance of data modeling and have experience with both relational and non-relational databases, which allows you to design effective data structures.

You are familiar with Docker and Docker Compose, enabling you to create and manage containerized applications efficiently. Your knowledge extends to observability practices, where you utilize tools like Datadog and Grafana to monitor system health and performance. You have experience with CI/CD processes, ensuring that your code is continuously integrated and delivered, which is crucial in a fast-paced development environment.

Your background includes working in complex environments with multiple teams, which has honed your collaboration skills. You are comfortable with cloud services, particularly Azure, and have experience deploying applications in cloud environments. Additionally, your familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) allows you to manage container orchestration effectively.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience with financial projects would be a plus, as it would give you insight into the specific challenges and requirements of this sector. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and evolving functionalities of a backend platform using Python. You will take ownership of the design and implementation of services and APIs, ensuring that you manage the entire process from design through to production. Your responsibilities will include monitoring systems, analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to guarantee the reliability of applications.

You will investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement structural improvements to enhance system performance. Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests will be part of your daily tasks, ensuring continuous quality assurance in your work. You will also contribute to the technical growth of your team by sharing knowledge and proposing engineering improvements.
