Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a visionary Head of Studio to spearhead the creation and execution of our game development roadmap, including the integration of existing triple-AAA IP but also the creation of new and lasting IP.

We are looking for a true self-starter and execution superstar who operates with a high degree of ownership and accountability. This role is for a leader who not only defines the strategy but ensures its rigorous and timely delivery.

• Ownership Mindset: You will treat the game development roadmap as your own business, taking complete accountability for outcomes, quality, and delivery timelines.

• Execution Focus: You possess a relentless drive to execute and deliver world-class content, translating high-level vision into actionable, organised, and optimised development plans.

• Upward Management & Communication: You are skilled at proactively managing stakeholders, communicating risks and opportunities clearly, and reporting key performance metrics to senior management.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Optimisation

• Develop and Implement with Rigor: Own the development and implementation of a comprehensive roadmap for proprietary online gambling games.

• Vision & Accountability: Define, communicate, and take accountability for the vision, goals, and strategy for game development projects.

• Optimised Foresight: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (with a particular focus on Web3 and crypto developments), and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions, ensuring maximum market opportunity and optimised resource allocation.

Game Development & Delivery

• End-to-End Execution: Relentlessly oversee the entire game development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with founders, product managers, designers, and developers, and other stakeholders to create innovative and engaging games, ensuring all parties are aligned on delivery goals.

Team Leadership & Accountability

• Lead by Example: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence. You'll be a game evangelist and strive to bring the people around you along on the journey.

• Performance Accountability: Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members, tying team success directly to roadmap execution.

Performance Analysis & Optimisation

• Data-Driven Optimisation: Monitor and analyse the performance of released games, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and feature optimisation.

• Player-Centric Refinement: Gather and incorporate player feedback to refine and enhance game features and mechanics.

Work Experience and Skills

• Proven Delivery Record: 5+ years of experience in the online gambling industry, with a strong, proven track record in game development and high-velocity delivery.

• Roadmap Success: Proven experience in creating and executing successful game development roadmaps.

• Strategic & Organised: A strategic thinker with an exceptional ability to organise, manage complex projects, and utilise project management tools and methodologies.

• Strong understanding of game design principles, player psychology, and market trends.

• Familiarity with blockchain technology, smart contracts, NFTs, and cryptocurrency applications in gaming.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Creative thinker with a passion for gaming and innovation.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
