Axon is hiring a Systems Engineer II to manage the hardware lifecycle for RF-based counter-drone detection systems. You'll work across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, focusing on concept definition and component selection.
You have a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in managing hardware lifecycles. With experience in RF sensor technology, you understand the complexities of bringing products from concept to production. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure product success. Your technical expertise allows you to make informed decisions on component selection and design for manufacturing. You are detail-oriented and committed to compliance and certification processes, ensuring that products meet all necessary regulations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can take ownership of projects and drive real change.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of RF sensor hardware, from early prototypes through to production ramp and sustaining support. You will support early-phase development by defining concepts and selecting components, including RF, compute, power, and interfaces. Your responsibilities will include driving manufacturing readiness, which involves design for manufacturing and testing, pilot builds, and production bring-up. You will partner closely with production teams, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve production issues, improve yield, and implement product changes. Additionally, you will support compliance and certification activities, including test planning and lab testing, to ensure that products adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
