Google is seeking a Senior Engineer for Manufacturing Operations to optimize silicon product ramp-up and manage high-volume manufacturing processes. You'll leverage your expertise in Electrical Engineering and AI/ML techniques to drive improvements in production. This role requires 10 years of experience in SoC manufacturing and semiconductor technologies.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in SoC manufacturing development and production ramp. Your background includes extensive knowledge of capacity modeling, execution planning, and managing high-volume SOC manufacturing operations with foundries and equipment suppliers. You are well-versed in semiconductor fabrication technologies, yield analysis, and process life-cycles, and you have a proven track record of driving cost and quality initiatives in production.
Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field. You have experience across all test insertions, such as probe and final test, and you excel at optimizing cycle time throughout the manufacturing flow. Your familiarity with foundry and OSAT operations, including output management and yield improvements, positions you as a key player in resolving equipment-related losses.
You are adept at applying AI/ML techniques to leverage WAF, physical design, and yield data for test process optimization in high-volume manufacturing. Your knowledge of statistical fundamentals for data analysis and control design, combined with excellent communication skills, enables you to manage vendor relationships effectively.
As a Senior Engineer, you will build comprehensive Manufacturing Operations infrastructure to ramp silicon products to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). You will create capacity planning solutions and conduct scenario planning across multiple Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facilities. Your role involves identifying trends that may impact product delivery schedules and recommending corrective actions to ensure quality and quantity.
You will collaborate with the supply chain to optimize inventory levels based on demand forecasts, ensuring that manufacturing capacity is not a limiting factor. Acting on demand forecast changes and line manufacturing data, you will drive improvements across the manufacturing chain to ensure predictable supply to customers. Your contributions will be critical in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations, ultimately supporting the successful delivery of silicon products.
At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and excellence. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work in a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving, allowing you to make a significant impact in the field of semiconductor manufacturing. We believe in fostering a culture of inclusivity and support, and we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement.
