Google is seeking a Research Scientist to enhance the factuality of their Gemini AI. You'll collaborate with research and engineering teams, leveraging skills in Python, Java, and machine learning. This role requires a PhD and experience in leading research agendas.
You hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by at least 2 years of experience leading a research agenda. Your background includes proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++, and you have a track record of submitting scientific publications to conferences or journals. You are well-versed in the latest advancements in AI, particularly in the realm of Large Language Models (LLM) and generative models, and you possess experience in software engineering for machine learning applications.
Experience with publications in top machine learning conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, or ACL is a plus. You have a strong understanding of the theoretical aspects of AI and a passion for applying this knowledge to real-world challenges. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with diverse teams, driving foundational improvements in AI capabilities.
As a Research Scientist at Google, you will play a pivotal role in measuring and enhancing the factuality of the Gemini AI system. Your responsibilities will include driving research efforts to improve Gemini's capabilities, such as factuality, through the design and execution of supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning experiments. You will curate and generate data to evaluate and enhance Gemini's performance, ensuring that the AI meets high standards of accuracy and reliability.
You will collaborate extensively with various research and engineering teams, leveraging your expertise to guide experimental directions and review the latest literature in the field.
