What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Skillshare, you will lead one of our core product engineering teams, playing a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our products. You will oversee the transition from our current systems to a modern, scalable architecture, ensuring that our engineering practices align with industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for setting clear goals and expectations for your team, providing guidance and support as they work towards achieving these objectives.

You will conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss their progress, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development. You will also facilitate team meetings to encourage collaboration and open communication, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture where team members feel motivated and engaged.

In addition to managing the team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our engineering efforts are aligned with the overall product vision.
