Astranis is seeking a Thermal Engineering Manager to lead the execution of satellite thermal systems. You'll oversee technical design and team leadership, requiring deep expertise in heat transfer and spacecraft thermal control.
You have a strong background in thermal engineering, with extensive experience in heat transfer and spacecraft thermal control. Your leadership skills are proven, as you've successfully managed engineering teams and projects from conception through execution. You understand the complexities of electronics packaging and thermal reliability, and you are adept at subsystem thermal management. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct thorough data analysis to support mission operations, ensuring that all thermal systems meet stringent requirements.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Your communication skills allow you to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. As the Thermal Engineering Manager at Astranis, you will own the end-to-end execution of the satellite thermal system. This includes overseeing the technical design and ensuring that all thermal hardware meets the necessary specifications. You will lead a team responsible for electronics packaging and thermal reliability, guiding them through the complexities of subsystem thermal management.
Your role will involve planning and executing vehicle and unit level TVAC tests, ensuring that all systems are rigorously tested and validated. You will also be responsible for data analysis to support mission operations, providing insights that drive decision-making and enhance system performance.
Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure that thermal considerations are integrated into the overall design and operation of the satellites. You will also engage with stakeholders to communicate progress and address any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
