SFMOMA is seeking a Conservation Documentation Intern to assist in the preservation and documentation of modern and contemporary artworks. This role requires prior experience in an archive, library, or museum, along with strong organizational skills.
You are a current student or a recent graduate, eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of conservation and documentation. You have prior experience working in an archive, library, or museum, which has equipped you with a solid understanding of the importance of preserving cultural artifacts. Your excellent attention to detail ensures that you can manage documentation accurately and efficiently. You possess strong organizational skills, allowing you to meet weekly input deadlines with ease. Familiarity with database management systems is essential, as you will be working with various tools to maintain records. You are capable of working independently in a focused and self-motivated manner, demonstrating your commitment to the role.
As a Conservation Documentation Intern at SFMOMA, you will support the Elise S. Haas Conservation Department in its mission to preserve and document modern and contemporary artworks.
