Amazon is hiring a Facility Engineer to support the operations of AWS data centers. You'll be responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 24/7 uptime. This position requires experience in facility management or a related field.
You have at least one year of experience in facility management, electrical, or mechanical engineering, and possess a basic understanding of related systems. You are capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing approximately 18 kg safely. You are willing to work in shifts, including non-standard hours, to ensure continuous operations of cloud computing services. You have a background in industries such as telecommunications, oil and gas, or alternative energy, which gives you a solid foundation for this role.
As a Facility Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of mechanical and electrical systems within the data center. You will respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime for customers, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly. You will investigate and resolve technical issues related to equipment failures, maintenance, and expansions. Your role will involve collaborating with teams to install and remove IT equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the data center operations.
