Cohere is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales in the UK Public Sector, focusing on Defense and Intelligence. You'll manage the full sales cycle and collaborate with various teams to tailor solutions for clients. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in enterprise sales.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with selling to government and defense organizations. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders allows you to uncover their needs and develop tailored solutions that resonate with them. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with customer success, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure that the solutions you propose align with customer goals and drive value.

You are comfortable managing the full sales cycle, from identifying leads to closing deals, and you have experience working with large enterprises, particularly those in the Global 2000. Your approach is consultative, focusing on building relationships and trust with prospects, which enables you to effectively position Cohere’s platform as a solution to their challenges. You are results-driven and motivated by the impact your work has on the growth of the company.

Desirable

Experience in AI or technology sales is a plus, as it allows you to better understand the products and services you are selling. Familiarity with the defense and intelligence sectors will give you an edge in understanding the specific needs of your clients. You are adaptable and open to learning, always seeking to improve your skills and knowledge in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of your territory, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the UK Public Sector. You will engage with prospects to understand their needs and challenges, crafting compelling value propositions that demonstrate how Cohere’s AI solutions can help them achieve their objectives. Your ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and relatable manner will be key to your success.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer success and marketing, to ensure that the solutions you propose are not only technically sound but also aligned with the overall strategy of the company. By being the voice of the field, you will provide valuable feedback to the product and engineering teams, helping to prioritize the roadmap based on customer insights and market demands.

Your role will also involve developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within your accounts, ensuring that you are seen as a trusted advisor. You will track your sales activities and results, using data to inform your strategies and improve your performance over time.
