Microsoft is hiring a BAS/EPMS Engineer to deliver core engineering expertise for datacenter infrastructure. You'll work with Azure and AutoCAD to design and coordinate mechanical systems. This role requires a detailed understanding of data center controls and operational experience.
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EPMS). Your experience includes leading design efforts and collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of complex mechanical systems. You possess a deep understanding of data center operations and controls, enabling you to provide valuable insights and guidance to stakeholders. You are skilled in using AutoCAD for specification and drawing development, ensuring that all control diagrams and sequences of operation are accurately represented. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams makes you a key contributor to project success.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering BAS and EPMS engineering expertise to internal stakeholders and external consultants. You will lead the design and coordination of mechanical systems, ensuring that they meet the operational requirements of Microsoft’s cloud datacenters. Your responsibilities will include developing specifications and drawings that detail control diagrams and sequences of operation for mechanical and electrical systems. You will also facilitate controls workgroups, collaborating with representatives from architectural and engineering firms to drive project success. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing the performance and reliability of datacenter infrastructure, contributing to the overall efficiency of Microsoft’s cloud operations.
