You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing and enhancing open source projects. You possess a strong understanding of software development principles and have experience with various programming languages and frameworks. Desirable

Experience with Grafana or similar visualization tools is a plus. Familiarity with observability strategies and metrics management will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving needs of the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer in the OSS Big Tent squad, you will take a leading role in developing and enhancing a diverse portfolio of open source plugins that retrieve the data powering Grafana dashboards used by teams worldwide. You will collaborate with other engineers to design and implement features that improve the functionality and performance of Grafana.

You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality standards. Your role will involve troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in the development process, as well as optimizing existing code for better performance.

You will engage with the community of Grafana users and contributors, gathering feedback and incorporating it into your work. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience and the overall success of Grafana as a leading open source visualization tool.
