Overview

Confluent is seeking a Director of Customer Success Engineering to lead the Customer Success Technical Architecture organization in EMEA. This role involves providing technical thought leadership and managing a team to drive customer satisfaction and value realization.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in customer success and technical leadership, ideally with over 5 years of experience in a similar role. You possess strong strategic thinking skills and can shape business and organizational strategies effectively. Your ability to lead and inspire a diverse team is complemented by your commitment to fostering a collaborative environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.

You are a natural communicator, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in managing large teams and driving customer success initiatives has equipped you with the skills to navigate challenges and deliver results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping customers realize the full value of their investments.

Desirable

Experience in the data streaming or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with customer success metrics and frameworks. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and have a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations. Your leadership style encourages innovation and accountability, making you an ideal fit for a role that requires both technical acumen and strategic vision.

What you'll do

As the Director of Customer Success Engineering at Confluent, you will lead the Customer Success Technical Architecture organization in EMEA, shaping the vision and strategy for the team. You will be responsible for managing a team of managers and technical advisors who drive proactive success for customers, ensuring they achieve their desired outcomes with our platform.

You will collaborate closely with the EMEA CSG VP and other leaders to define and implement the overall customer success strategy. Your role will involve setting objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team, ensuring alignment with broader company goals. You will also play a key role in the evolution of the global CSG go-to-market strategy, tailoring it to meet the unique needs of the EMEA region.

In this position, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within your team. You will encourage team members to share ideas and perspectives, creating an environment where everyone can contribute to the success of the organization. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving customer satisfaction and loyalty, as you guide your team in delivering exceptional service and support throughout the customer lifecycle.
