Shift4 is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to provide foundational legal support across the organization. You'll handle commercial contract management, regulatory research, and corporate governance. This role requires strong legal knowledge and the ability to navigate various legal challenges.
You are a recent law graduate or have some experience in a legal role, eager to develop your skills in a dynamic environment. You possess a foundational understanding of commercial law and are keen to learn about contract management and regulatory compliance. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you are comfortable conducting legal research and summarizing findings for various stakeholders. You have strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with different departments, from HR to Product. You are proactive in identifying potential legal risks and proposing solutions to mitigate them. You are committed to maintaining compliance with laws and regulations, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
In this role, you will prepare, review, and revise commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements to safeguard the company's interests. You will conduct thorough research on relevant laws and regulations, providing concise summaries and recommendations to internal teams. You will assist in maintaining compliance programs and policies, monitoring changes in applicable laws and regulations. Supporting corporate filings, board resolutions, and the maintenance of corporate records will also be part of your responsibilities. You will partner with various internal teams to provide legal guidance on projects and initiatives, helping them navigate legal complexities. Additionally, you will assist in managing disputes, claims, and litigation, coordinating with outside counsel as necessary. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that the company operates within legal boundaries while pursuing its commercial objectives.
