Overview

Squarespace is seeking an Account Executive for their New Business Acquisition team to drive growth by acquiring new SMB customers. You'll engage in proactive sales efforts and build relationships with potential clients. This role requires strong sales skills and a passion for technology.

You have experience in sales, ideally with a focus on acquiring new business and building relationships with clients. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about the opportunity to establish a new sales playbook from the ground up. You understand the importance of a structured, data-driven approach to sales and are eager to contribute to a founding team that is building a critical growth engine for a globally recognized brand.

You possess strong communication skills and are comfortable conducting discovery calls to understand business challenges. You are adept at tailoring solutions to meet the unique needs of small and medium-sized businesses, ensuring they see the value in Squarespace’s offerings. You are proactive in your outreach efforts, utilizing personalized strategies to engage potential clients and convert them into customers.

Desirable

Experience in a technology-driven sales environment is a plus, as is familiarity with the SMB market. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with marketing and other departments to drive new business growth. You are comfortable using data to inform your sales strategies and are always looking for ways to improve your approach.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive on the New Business Acquisition team, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You will proactively source new opportunities through personalized outreach and social selling, while also working with inbound leads generated by marketing. Your goal will be to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential clients, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales targets.

You will conduct discovery calls to deeply understand the challenges faced by potential clients and tailor Squarespace’s solutions to meet their needs. This consultative selling approach will be key to your success, as you will need to demonstrate how Squarespace can help businesses thrive online. You will also collaborate closely with your team to refine sales strategies and share insights that can help improve overall performance.
