Overview

Twilio is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (L4) to join their Customer Data Platform team. You'll build and scale systems that support a leading CDP, processing billions of data points per hour. This role requires expertise in Java, Python, and cloud technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable systems that handle large volumes of data. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to design and implement robust APIs that meet the needs of diverse customer use cases. You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes. You understand the principles of microservices architecture and have worked with REST APIs and GraphQL to facilitate seamless data interactions. Your experience with databases, including PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch, enables you to optimize data storage and retrieval for high-performance applications. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a remote-first environment, contributing to a culture of inclusion and innovation.

Desirable

Experience with data processing frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. You have a keen interest in emerging technologies and are always looking to enhance your skill set. What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Customer Data Platform team, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling systems that support Twilio's leading CDP. Your work will involve processing billions of data points per hour, ensuring that the systems are reliable and performant.
