Uber is hiring a Business Development Specialist I to support new drivers through their onboarding process. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for community engagement.
You are incredibly empathetic and understand both riders and driver partners alike. You will be a powerful advocate for Uber’s users and are obsessed with the community experience. You remain cool and calm under pressure, possessing superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks. Your natural curiosity drives you to learn how things work, and you are always looking for ways to innovate. You enjoy testing different support strategies and tracking the results. As the ultimate relator, you are eloquent and can strike the perfect tone, whether you’re explaining a new policy to drivers, discussing complicated metrics, or responding to support issues over the phone. You love Uber and are driven by helping others while being on the front lines of a highly visible, fast-growing brand.
In this role, you will work directly with new drivers who have signed up to the Uber platform, guiding them through their licensing process and onboarding until they take their first trip with Uber. You will collaborate closely with CommOps and Ops to understand and tackle new driver partners’ most important priorities. As an Ariane account manager, you will provide a one-on-one personalized concierge experience, matching drivers with an agent at various points in their early lifecycle. You will proactively contact drivers to provide customized coaching and recommendations, supporting them through the onboarding process. Your role will involve tracking the progress of new drivers and ensuring they have a smooth transition onto the platform.
