Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives within the Fulfillment Center. You'll lead a team of Operations and Area Managers to drive quality and performance initiatives. This role requires strong leadership and operational management skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, with experience leading teams and driving performance objectives. Your ability to coach and mentor others is key to building a strong leadership bench within the Fulfillment Center. You understand the importance of creating positive employee relations and fostering a collaborative work environment. You are adept at managing budgetary responsibilities and ensuring that operational goals are met consistently.

You are familiar with Lean initiatives and have successfully driven process changes in previous roles. Your focus on safety, quality, and customer experience sets you apart as a leader who prioritizes operational excellence. You are skilled at setting clear expectations for your team and holding them accountable for their performance, ensuring that best practices are shared across departments.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working closely with support staff from various functions, including HR, Finance, and IT. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and resource allocation enables you to secure the necessary support for projects and initiatives in your area.

Desirable

Experience in a Fulfillment Center or similar operational environment is a plus. Familiarity with budget management and performance metrics will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the site. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, driving the creation of quality initiatives and process change initiatives to meet and exceed business plans. Your role will involve setting and clarifying requirements and expectations for your team, measuring performance, and providing feedback to ensure accountability.

You will take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with support staff, you will build and secure resources for projects and initiatives, ensuring that your team has the necessary support to achieve operational goals.

Your leadership will be instrumental in driving safety, quality, and performance within either Inbound or Outbound operations. You will leverage your team's ideas to create improvement plans that enhance the functional area and contribute to the overall success of the Fulfillment Center.

What we offer

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $182,700 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
