What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Payments Ledger team, you will lead a group of 7–8 engineers, guiding them in the design and implementation of Adyen's core accounting platform. Your role will involve overseeing the development of scalable, reliable distributed systems that process a significant volume of transactions. You will collaborate closely with product and platform teams to ensure that new services are designed with strong reliability and performance guarantees.

You will be responsible for mentoring your team, conducting regular one-on-ones, and facilitating career development discussions. Your leadership will help create a culture of accountability and excellence, where team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work. You will also play a key role in the hiring process, identifying and attracting top talent to join your team.

In addition to technical leadership, you will be involved in strategic planning, helping to shape the direction of the Payments Ledger team and its contributions to Adyen's overall mission.
