Tennr is seeking a Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting functions and enhance financial reporting. You'll ensure compliance with GAAP and collaborate across departments to maintain accurate financial records. This role requires strong accounting expertise and hands-on experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating your ability to manage financial operations effectively. You are well-versed in GAAP and have a proven track record of preparing accurate financial statements. Your attention to detail ensures that internal controls are robust, safeguarding company assets and maintaining compliance. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, RevOps, Sales, and Legal to provide trustworthy financial insights that drive decision-making. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are committed to building efficient processes that enhance the overall financial function of the organization.

Desirable

Experience in a scaling company is a plus, as is familiarity with healthcare or technology sectors. You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable using financial software and tools to streamline operations. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders sets you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and timely in accordance with GAAP. You will implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Collaborating with various departments, you will provide insights that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. You will lead the monthly close process, ensuring that all financial data is reconciled and reported accurately. Additionally, you will work on improving financial reporting processes, making them more efficient and user-friendly for stakeholders. Your hands-on approach means you will be directly involved in the day-to-day accounting tasks while also focusing on long-term improvements.
