Overview

Kong is seeking a Manager of Sales Development to lead a team of Sales Development Representatives. You'll drive the growth of the sales pipeline across the AMER region. This role requires strong leadership and team development skills.

You have a proven track record in sales development leadership, with experience overseeing teams of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). You understand the importance of building a high-performing team and are skilled at hiring top talent in the industry. Your leadership style fosters a positive and collaborative culture that inspires teamwork and professional growth. You are comfortable working cross-functionally and have a hands-on approach to developing your team. You are passionate about career development and creating scalable success within your organization. You thrive in a hybrid in-office environment and are adept at maintaining operational rigor across all elements of the business.

Desirable

Experience in a technology-focused sales environment is a plus. Familiarity with pipeline generation strategies and metrics will help you excel in this role. You should be comfortable with data-driven decision-making and have a knack for creating effective reporting and feedback loops with stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of SDRs, focusing on both inbound and outbound sales strategies. You will shape development programs that promote career progression and keep talent engaged. Your mission is to drive the growth of our sales pipeline across the AMER region, ensuring a predictable business outcome. You will create a reporting and feedback loop with stakeholders on team performance, KPIs, customer insights, roadblocks, and pipeline forecasts. Collaborating with leaders across Sales, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnership teams, you will design and execute a go-to-market plan for pipeline generation. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a positive and collaborative culture that inspires teamwork and professional growth.
