Overview

Google is seeking a Program Manager II for NPI Operations in Sunnyvale, CA. You'll lead complex projects in hardware and manufacturing operations, requiring strong project management skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program or project management. Your background includes experience in NPI Operations and manufacturing or manufacturing operations. Ideally, you have 5 years of experience in hardware and manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. You possess knowledge of hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation, and assembly and test processes. Your communication skills are excellent, allowing you to convey project requirements and schedules effectively. You demonstrate strong leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills. You believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your role involves working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will coordinate efforts across various teams and offices, ensuring that everyone is updated on progress and deadlines. In your capacity as the New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in bringing innovative products to market efficiently and effectively. You will serve as the primary link between Product Operations/Supply Chain and hardware development, advocating for operational excellence and guiding new products through the necessary processes. Your responsibilities will include driving cross-functional teams to optimize product operations and supply chain, accounting for risks, changes in schedule, budget, resources, and customer demand.
