You possess a strong grasp of APIs for integration — you've worked with various enterprise systems and know how to connect them seamlessly. Your proven automation portfolio showcases your ability to use tools like Freshservice Workflow Automator, Power Automate, or RPA platforms to create effective solutions.

You are proficient in writing and maintaining robust PowerShell and Python scripts — your coding skills enable you to tackle endpoint management and service maintenance tasks effectively. You understand the importance of tracking success rates of deployed automations and continuously optimizing processes for better performance.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys identifying repetitive Tier 1 tasks — whether it's password resets, ticket routing, or patch triggers, you have a knack for building solutions that fully automate these processes. Your attention to detail ensures that all workflows are documented and optimized for efficiency.

What you'll do

As an IT Automation Engineer at Smartsheet, you will be a key player in improving operational efficiency for the IT and Security teams — your primary focus will be on automating manual tasks that hinder productivity. You will identify repetitive Tier 1 tasks and develop solutions to automate them fully, ensuring that the team can focus on more strategic initiatives.

You will develop and deploy Freshservice orchestrations integrated with core systems like Active Directory, M365, and Jamf using APIs — your technical skills will be crucial in streamlining these integrations and enhancing overall system performance. You will write and maintain robust PowerShell and Python scripts for endpoint management and service maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems run smoothly.

Tracking the success rates of deployed automations will be part of your responsibilities — you will document new workflows and continuously optimize processes for efficiency. Your ability to analyze and improve existing systems will contribute significantly to the team's success.

Collaboration with IT and Security teams will be essential — you will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and develop automation solutions that meet those requirements.
