Confluent is hiring a Customer Support Systems Engineer to enhance their support systems infrastructure through custom Zendesk applications. You'll collaborate with the Global Technical Support team and ensure high-quality technical solutions. This role requires experience in software development and Zendesk customization.
You have a strong background in engineering with a focus on customer support systems, ideally with experience in Zendesk. You understand the importance of treating support systems infrastructure as a software product, moving beyond mere configuration to create custom solutions that enhance user experience. You are skilled in translating abstract concepts into concrete technical solutions, ensuring that the architecture and design of systems are stable, scalable, and reliable. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive engineering best practices and lead technical design reviews. You are proactive in seeking feedback and are committed to continuous improvement in your work.
Experience with application development within the Zendesk platform is a plus, as is familiarity with coding languages that support customization efforts. You are comfortable with the entire development lifecycle, from requirements design to deployment, and you have a keen eye for detail that ensures high-quality outcomes. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building custom solutions within the Zendesk platform, focusing on developing custom Zendesk apps using the Zendesk Apps Framework. You will work closely with the Global Technical Support team to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. Your contributions will span the entire development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. You will lead technical design through design reviews and architecture reviews, ensuring that all solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will also be a key player in driving engineering best practices within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
