Job Description

Amazon is seeking a dynamic, high-energy public relations professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and delivers exceptional results. As PR Specialist for Alexa+, you will be a creative storyteller and strategic communicator who builds trust with business partners while driving impactful media coverage and brand awareness. This role is perfect for a communicator who is passionate about transforming complex technology into compelling narratives that resonate with consumers and media alike. The ideal candidate will be energized by the challenge of making complex technology accessible and exciting to broad audiences. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and aren't satisfied with "good enough" – you push for breakthrough results. You build productive partnerships across teams and with media contacts, and you're passionate and excited to help shape how the world experiences and understands emerging technology.

Key job responsibilities

- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven Track Record: History of securing high-profile media coverage and building strong media relationships- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
- Deep understanding of consumer electronics, technology trends, and competitive landscape
- Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging stories that drive consumer interest
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- A proactive, self-starter mindset—you must take ownership, anticipate needs, and be comfortable driving initiatives forward without constant direction
- Collaborative Spirit: Natural team player who works effectively with internal teams and external agencies to deliver results at scale
- Innovative thinker who develops unique angles and approaches to storytelling challenges
- Relationship Builder: Skilled at earning trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
