Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II for the Flex Delivery Planning Science Team to tackle complex scheduling challenges in delivery logistics. Who you are

You have a strong background in optimization and operations research, with experience in developing mathematical models to solve complex scheduling problems. Your expertise in Python allows you to implement algorithms and analyze data effectively, ensuring that delivery processes are efficient and cost-effective. You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating strong attention to detail in your work.

You possess a solid understanding of mixed integer programming, dynamic programming, and decomposition methods, which you have applied in previous roles to optimize logistics and resource allocation. A background in control theory and economics is beneficial, as it enhances your ability to understand the broader implications of your work on business operations.

You are a self-starter who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and data analysis, to drive improvements in delivery systems. Your analytical mindset enables you to collect and interpret data, leading to informed decision-making and innovative solutions.

Desirable

What you'll do
