Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to provide clean, well-documented data sets for data scientists and business users. You'll work with SQL, Snowflake, and Looker to ensure data modeling meets requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in data transformation.
You have 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, where you've developed a strong understanding of data modeling and transformation. Your expertise in SQL allows you to create efficient data transformation scripts that empower data scientists and business users alike. You are familiar with tools like Snowflake and Looker, enabling you to surface clean and intuitive datasets for analysis. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product engineering teams to ensure that source data is modeled effectively to meet downstream requirements. You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering well-documented and tested datasets that drive impactful insights. You are passionate about using data to inform business decisions and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative company like Deliveroo.
Experience with data visualization tools and a background in data science would be advantageous. Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions and a strong understanding of data governance principles are also beneficial. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and you enjoy mentoring junior team members to help them grow in their roles.
In this role, you will be part of the analytics engineering team, reporting to one of the Analytics Engineering Managers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide clean, tested, and well-documented datasets that enable data scientists and business users to make informed decisions. You will maintain and develop SQL data transformation scripts, ensuring that they are optimized for performance and scalability. You will collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure that the modeling of source data meets the requirements of downstream analytics. You will also advise and review data scientists on data modeling techniques to achieve denormalized and aggregated output datasets. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of data-driven decision-making at Deliveroo.
