Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and hold a National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) certification (LBC-TLL). With over 5 years of experience operating crawler cranes and hydraulic cranes, you are well-versed in the intricacies of crane operation and rigging. Your background includes working with delicate lifting operations, such as those in wind farms, power plants, or the oil refinery industry. You also possess experience in the tear-down and build of crawler cranes, showcasing your hands-on skills and technical knowledge.

You are familiar with a variety of rigging equipment, including shackles, straps, slings, ropes, and hoists. Your ability to calculate and determine the appropriate lifting equipment demonstrates your strong analytical skills. You have a solid understanding of lifting signals and communications, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. Your experience in rigging challenges and driving forklifts complements your crane operation duties, making you a versatile asset to the team.

Desirable

You may also have an NCCER/NCCCO (National Center for Construction Education and Research) rigging certification, which further enhances your qualifications. Your extensive experience in the field allows you to tackle various rigging challenges with confidence and precision.

Your role will require you to tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and around obstacles using multi-point rigging techniques.

You will assist with various rigging challenges, demonstrating your expertise in the field. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving forklifts on top of your crane-cab duties, showcasing your versatility and ability to handle multiple tasks. Your contributions will be vital in supporting SpaceX's mission to develop technologies for human life on Mars, as you play a crucial role in the launch operations.
