You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, specializing in building production systems that can handle high throughput and scale effectively. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have a wealth of experience in debugging complex distributed systems issues.

Your deep expertise in Java and Spring allows you to ship high-throughput APIs that manage millions of requests. You have strong opinions on service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies, ensuring that your systems are robust and maintainable.

You are passionate about message queues and stream processing, understanding the critical patterns that make distributed systems work efficiently. Your experience includes designing asynchronous services that communicate reliably, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across the ecosystem.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key contributor to Aleph's core platform, making critical architectural decisions that impact the entire ecosystem. You will design and build high-throughput, event-driven systems that empower advertisers and brands to unlock the full potential of digital advertising.

You will ensure that our asynchronous services communicate reliably, and you will be responsible for the seamless flow of data across various components of the system. Your work will directly influence the scalability of our platform, allowing us to meet increasing demand from clients across 130+ markets.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. You will conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and frontend engineers, to deliver features that enhance user experience and drive business results. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the future of our platform and the digital advertising landscape.
