The Content Insight Analyst role is an important analytical role focused on helping Amazon Prime Video assess and evaluate the value of licensed content to our Prime Video service in US and in international locales. This Analyst will be tasked with attaining an excellent knowledge of the Amazon Prime Video content catalog(s) in key international locales, and using this knowledge to help inform content licensing activities of the Prime Video Content Acquisition team. The role will require analyzing large amounts of performance data (mostly within xls) and presenting and recutting this data in manner suitable to match the evaluation or reporting requirements of the Prime Video business. Often at short notice, data inputs will help form the basis of negotiations and content acquisitions.
Key job responsibilities
• Support of content acquisition deal work that requires analysis and deep dives on specific series/movies.
• Stand up and own reporting mechanisms that use customer behavior, usage and consumption data to inform decision-making such as new dashboards, a bi-weekly content business review and current monthly newsletters.
• Handle ad-hoc content acquisition requests that come up, primarily US customer journey and key performance indicator analyses for select content categories.
• Provide support for our lead content insight analyst on any data requests to improve efficiency and scale our analytical capabilities, especially with complex projects.
- 5+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)- 5+ years of content acquisition or sync licensing experience
- High financial acumen and adept at quantitative analysis
- A proven record in applying statistical methods and problem solving in a business context
- Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
- Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills
- Interest and knowledge about movies & TV
- Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Solutions oriented attitude with a willingness to problem solve problems with limited notice

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $78,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $167,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
