Job Description

The Amazon Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation (RDPI) team is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to help drive adoption of Amazon’s sustainable packaging programs, and new program development to support Vendors and FBA Sellers in EU.

You will support programs, like the Ships in Product Packaging (SIPP) program, that reduce packaging waste, contribute to Amazon’s Climate Pledge commitments, and provide a better customer unboxing experience. RDPI sets the global, multi-year strategic packaging vision to drive waste and cost reduction and contribute directly to Amazon’s Climate Pledge goals. Our products are public facing and provide a unique opportunity to interact with end customers on every order.

In this role, you’ll own the creation and execution of strategies to achieve business goals, collaborate across Vendor and FBA stakeholder teams to unlock strategic selling partners, gain alignment on shared outreach and conversion goals, create tracking mechanisms and KPIs to evaluate the success and health of your business, and bring the voice of the Selling Partner back to stakeholders such as Product, Engineering, and Program teams. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on status, needs from partner teams, risks and overall pipeline opportunity EU.

The right candidate has a track record of being successful across the following areas:
- Influencer: Innovative leader with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion
- Leader: Significant experience leading partner teams through trust, good judgment, decision making and data.
- Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end projects and initiatives, working through the many obstacles along the way
- Communicator: Ability to present to c-level executives (externally) and Director+ (internally), communicate expectations and requirements equally well with business and technology teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing your own data analysis as necessary
- Problem Solver: Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges

This position requires 25% travel.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute on a strategic market development plan in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).
- Create business cases and create shared goals with partner orgs in EU
- Work jointly with partner teams to build Selling Partner pipeline opportunities
- Understand the technical requirements of our Selling Partners and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings
- Own reporting against goals and KPIs and communication to stakeholders and leadership- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
- Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience in a professional field or military- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies
