[42dot Vietnam] QA Engineer (Automotive)

Who you are

You have at least 1 year of QA experience, ideally in the automotive sector, and possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for ensuring the highest quality in software products. Your background may include experience with ECU, IVI, or embedded platforms, and you are comfortable working in a collaborative environment with global teams.

You are skilled in developing test plans and scenarios based on requirements for hardware interfaces, software features, and system performance. You have experience in configuring test environments, including ECU/HIL/IVI equipment, network simulations, and verification tools. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough log analysis and reporting, identifying root causes of issues and proposing improvements.

You are familiar with test automation and optimization, having built automation environments using tools like Appium and CI/CD pipelines. Your technical expertise includes knowledge of hardware verification processes, such as power/boot sequences and communication interfaces. You are proactive in your approach to problem-solving and are eager to learn and grow in your role.

Desirable

Experience with automotive software testing is a plus, as is familiarity with performance testing techniques, including CPU/GPU/memory bottleneck analysis. You may also have experience with scripting languages that aid in test automation and a keen interest in the latest trends in automotive technology.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the 42dot Global QA Center in Vietnam, where you will lead testing and validation efforts for automotive software. You will develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on specific requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the software meet quality standards. You will set up test environments, configuring necessary equipment and tools to facilitate effective testing.

You will execute validation processes for both hardware and software components, verifying the functionality of IVI apps and vehicle systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting performance tests to analyze system bottlenecks and optimizing performance metrics. You will create detailed test reports, documenting findings and collaborating with the development team to address any identified issues.

As part of your role, you will also focus on building and maintaining test automation environments, utilizing tools such as Appium and CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that quality assurance practices are integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
