Schonfeld is seeking a Credit Middle Office Operations Senior Associate to manage day-to-day operational tasks in Structured Credit trading. You'll work closely with various teams to support trade capture, settlement, and reporting. This role requires 5-7 years of experience in Structured Credit operations.
You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with 5-7 years of experience supporting Structured Credit trading. You possess deep knowledge of Structured Credit products, including CLO, RMBS, CMBS, ABS, SRT, MBS, and Non-agency products. Your background in finance or a related field has equipped you with the skills necessary to excel in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking on daily trade volume and long-term projects is essential.
You have experience working with OMS/PMS platforms, which allows you to navigate the complexities of trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes effectively. Your ability to collaborate with various teams, including Trading, Risk, Product, Technology, Treasury, Compliance, and Foundational operations, makes you a valuable asset in supporting the full lifecycle of a trade. You thrive on process improvement, efficiency, and minimizing operational risk, ensuring that the Structured Credit trading functions smoothly.
You are familiar with best practices in the industry and are eager to contribute to a new business within a well-established hedge fund. Your proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions will help facilitate growth within the Structured Credit business.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of the Structured Credit trading team. You will support trade capture, confirmation, and affirmation processes, ensuring that all trades are accurately recorded and processed. Your attention to detail will be crucial in managing system trade and data flow, as well as overseeing settlement and reconciliation activities.
You will also be involved in managing life cycle events, P&L calculations, and reporting, providing critical insights to the Structured Credit PM and other stakeholders. Your collaborative nature will enable you to work closely with various teams, ensuring that all operational aspects of trading are aligned and functioning efficiently.
As you contribute to key initiatives and projects, you will focus on process improvement and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities to enhance workflows and minimize risks. Your analytical skills will be essential in evaluating current processes and implementing best practices that support the growth of the Structured Credit business.
