Who you are

You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in revenue accounting. You understand the importance of accurate income recording according to accounting standards and have a strong grasp of revenue recognition principles. You are comfortable reviewing contracts and reconciling revenue accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations while analyzing revenue trends. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with finance and sales teams to optimize revenue processes. You take pride in being the key contact within your region, representing the Accounts Receivable team and ensuring the effectiveness of the Accounts Receivable process.

Desirable

Experience with financial reporting and month-end close processes is a plus. Familiarity with accounting software and tools will enhance your ability to manage revenue-related journals and variance analysis against forecasts and budgets. A proactive approach to monitoring and reconciling deferred revenue balances will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will ensure that all revenue is recognized in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. You will manage the month-end close process, which includes preparing and posting revenue-related journals and conducting revenue variance analysis against forecasts and budgets. Monitoring and reconciling deferred revenue balances will be a key responsibility, ensuring appropriate recognition on a monthly basis. You will collaborate with the Contracts Processing and Billing teams to oversee and review billing issues, ensuring general accuracy and completeness in all financial transactions. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you analyze revenue trends and ensure compliance with regulations. You will also support the annual rollout and monthly calculation of revenue, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
