Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Industry Partnership Manager for Data Center Market Development to lead strategic negotiations and partnerships. You'll work closely with internal teams and industry stakeholders to shape sustainable infrastructure solutions. This role requires 10+ years of experience in business development and partnerships.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, public policy, or government affairs, particularly in the infrastructure, water, sustainability, or technology sectors. Your background includes leading negotiations and managing multi-party agreements with both corporate and governmental entities, showcasing your ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. A Master's degree in Public Policy, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with 5 years of experience in advocacy, site selection, or economic development for technology or real estate projects. You possess deep market knowledge and a strong understanding of the tech industry, enabling you to negotiate cost-effective solutions that support infrastructure growth.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of Google's Strategic Negotiation team, working behind the scenes to secure essential infrastructure for Google's future, including underwater cables and physical data center space. You will collaborate with specific project teams to negotiate agreements, manage vendor and partner relationships, and present recommendations to Google's Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations will have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact various aspects of the business. You will architect strategic industry partnerships that enable the future of Google's global data center infrastructure, uniting key industry players to drive sustainable solutions. Additionally, you will represent Google in industry forums and multi-stakeholder negotiations, mobilizing the broader sector to shape a sustainable future for digital infrastructure.
