Handshake is seeking Environmental Scientists and Specialists to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models in your field. No AI experience is required, making this a flexible opportunity for those with relevant expertise.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in environmental science or a related field, allowing you to communicate complex environmental data and research findings to diverse audiences through various formats. Your background equips you to monitor and analyze pollution and land degradation, recommending actionable solutions based on your findings. You are comfortable working independently and can adapt to flexible hours, averaging 5-20 hours per week. You are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the evolving landscape of AI in your field, even if you do not have prior AI experience.
Experience in evaluating and providing feedback on technical content related to environmental science is a plus. Familiarity with AI concepts and their application in your field can enhance your contributions, but it is not a requirement for this role. You are open to collaborating with a diverse team and are willing to engage in ongoing learning as you participate in this innovative project.
In this role, you will evaluate AI models based on your professional expertise, providing structured feedback that enhances the model's understanding of workplace tasks and language. You will develop prompts for AI models that accurately reflect your field, ensuring that the AI's outputs are relevant and useful. Your work will be asynchronous, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States, and you will have the flexibility to choose your hours based on project availability.
