Overview

Who you are

You have a proven track record in workplace health and safety management, with a focus on driving safety excellence across various industries. Your leadership skills are complemented by your ability to influence change and foster a culture of safety within teams. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are adept at using insights to create innovative safety solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily operations. Your experience includes conducting comprehensive risk assessments and transforming safety data into actionable strategies that enhance productivity and reduce risk. You are passionate about building and developing high-performing teams, ensuring that safety remains a top priority in all aspects of operations.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced operational environment is a plus, as is familiarity with technology and data analytics in safety management. You may have certifications in occupational health and safety or related fields, which further demonstrate your commitment to excellence in workplace safety.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the site’s safety initiatives, acting as the safety facilitator for Amazon’s Global WHS Program. You will partner with operations leadership to weave safety into the fabric of daily operations, ensuring that safety protocols are not only established but also adhered to rigorously. Your responsibilities will include driving continuous improvement initiatives that set new benchmarks in workplace safety, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance preventive measures. You will conduct regular safety audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Your role will also involve training and mentoring a team of WHS professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in safety practices. You will be responsible for reporting safety metrics and trends to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in safety performance.
