You have a strong background in systems engineering with a focus on automation and operations — your experience includes overseeing high-availability services and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. You are familiar with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda, and understand the intricacies of delivering cloud solutions tailored for EU customers. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in environments that require quick thinking and adaptability. You are comfortable participating in on-call rotations, ensuring that you can address incidents promptly and maintain service reliability. You are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to innovative projects that have a significant impact on the cloud computing landscape.

Desirable

Experience with utility computing and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure will set you apart — familiarity with the European regulatory landscape is a plus. What you'll do

In this role, you will spearhead the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud, working closely with global AWS teams to ensure a successful rollout in 2025. Your responsibilities will include enhancing day-to-day operations, focusing on improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency. You will also participate in incident resolution during on-call rotations, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
