Senior Software Engineer I, Data Integration (Apps)

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs. Your background includes working with data synchronization and real-time data processing, allowing you to understand the complexities involved in data integration. You are proficient in programming languages such as Java and Python, and you have experience with REST APIs, which are crucial for connecting various systems. Your familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, enables you to leverage scalable solutions for data management. You are comfortable using containerization tools like Docker to streamline development and deployment processes. You have a strong understanding of database systems, particularly PostgreSQL, which is essential for managing data effectively.

Experience with data ingestion platforms and AI-powered data management is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools will help you ensure the health of integrations. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining connections between HubSpot's sync platform and various third-party APIs. You will use and improve the self-built integration framework, ensuring that it meets the needs of customers and enhances their experience with HubSpot's products. Your work will involve developing monitoring and observability tools to ensure integration health, allowing for proactive management of any issues that arise. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to make customer-centric decisions based on integration performance and user feedback. You will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of app-specific use cases, contributing to the overall success of the Data Hub team.
