Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within technology or safety-focused environments. You understand the importance of trust in community interactions and have a track record of delivering products that enhance user safety and experience. Your analytical skills allow you to identify customer pain points and translate them into actionable product features. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including engineers and data scientists, to develop innovative solutions that meet user needs. You have experience with identity verification processes and understand the challenges and opportunities in this area. You are a strong communicator, able to articulate product vision and strategy to stakeholders at all levels. You are passionate about creating safe and delightful experiences for users and are motivated by the impact your work can have on the community.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning models and their application in safety and trust contexts would be a plus. Familiarity with user research methodologies and A/B testing can enhance your ability to make data-driven decisions. A background in tech companies or startups is advantageous, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Manager in the Trust and Safety team, you will lead the development of products focused on identity verification for Airbnb's hosts and guests. You will work closely with engineers and data scientists to build machine learning models that detect risk and enhance user safety. Your role will involve defining product requirements, prioritizing features based on user feedback, and ensuring that the products you deliver align with community standards and policies. You will conduct user research to understand the needs and pain points of both hosts and guests, translating these insights into product features that enhance trust and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of identity verification processes into the user journey. You will also be responsible for setting metrics to measure the success of your products and iterating based on user feedback and data analysis.
