Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to advance cloud technology within the Azure Core team. You'll design and deliver cloud-scale distributed systems software, leveraging your expertise in Linux and cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong experience in building reliable and scalable systems.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building cloud-scale distributed systems. Your expertise in Linux system programming allows you to tackle complex challenges in distributed systems, ensuring high reliability and availability. You are passionate about cloud technology and eager to contribute to innovative solutions that shape the future of computing.
You possess a deep understanding of fault tolerance and self-management in distributed systems. Your experience includes designing and implementing scalable solutions that meet the demands of modern cloud infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms is a plus. Familiarity with decentralized runtimes and platforms will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working with both Linux and Windows operating systems, and you have a strong foundation in system programming.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Azure Service Fabric team, you will design and deliver software that addresses complex distributed systems challenges. Your responsibilities will include creating, implementing, optimizing, debugging, and refactoring code to enhance Service Fabric capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are robust and scalable.
You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design through deployment and monitoring. Your role will require you to collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production environments.
