GHJ is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. You'll ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance while utilizing your accounting software skills. This position requires 1-3+ years of accounting experience.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 1–3+ years of accounting experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Your proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel allows you to maintain accurate financial records efficiently. You are highly organized with a strong attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. You thrive in a stable, expanding organization and are eager to grow your career within a supportive team-oriented culture.
Experience with month-end and year-end close processes is a plus, as is familiarity with preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. You are comfortable supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed, and you have a keen eye for identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. You will assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Your responsibilities will include reconciling general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and intercompany transactions, as well as supporting audits by preparing schedules and documentation. You will also assist with financial statements and internal reporting, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
