Overview

Amazon is hiring an RME Coordinator to oversee facility engineering and administrative activities. You'll utilize your industrial electrical expertise to maintain and troubleshoot various systems. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical components and controls.

Job Description

Who you are

You have hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems. Your troubleshooting skills are well-honed, allowing you to identify and resolve issues at the field level, particularly with I/O’s and network components. You are familiar with modifying motor controls, including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, and DC drives, and you have a solid understanding of standard electrical components. Knowledge of sortation systems and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is a plus. You are dedicated to supporting production in a safe and customer-focused manner, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and troubleshooting of various electrical and mechanical systems within the facility. You will conduct daily, weekly, and monthly technical checks as per the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule. You will attend technical calls for corrective maintenance, service, and repair works, coordinating with vendors for systems under warranty or Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). Your responsibilities will also include energy consumption readings and maintenance of diesel generators. You will maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, ensuring they operate smoothly. Additionally, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods. Your role will involve working with relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tracks, and encoders. You will also perform minor refurbishment and upgrade works for building finishes and fixtures, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal condition.
