Job Description

We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Healthcare Security team at Amazon. In this role, you will play a crucial part in extracting meaningful insights from large volumes of data to drive informed decision-making in healthcare security. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level skills in SQL, ETL processes, and data visualization tools like Tableau, coupled with communication abilities. We're looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, can think strategically while maintaining attention to detail, and has a passion for working with business intelligence tools and multidimensional datasets.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Healthcare Security stakeholders to understand their data needs and recommend appropriate business intelligence solutions.

- Partner with Data Engineering teams to define and structure data elements that enable robust analytical capabilities for healthcare security metrics.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards, reports, and analytical models to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as issue health, third-party assessments, and security certifications.

- Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources, including ServiceNow, Asana, and Zendesk, to create a unified view of healthcare security data.

- Create and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.

- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in healthcare security metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application security, cloud infrastructure, and third-party risk management, to ensure data accuracy and relevance.

- Develop forecasting models to predict future trends in security issues, assessments, and certifications.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics, particularly as they relate to healthcare security.

- Contribute to the wider Amazon analyst community, sharing knowledge and best practices in healthcare security analytics.

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
