SpaceX is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their Finance team, focusing on federal, state, and local tax compliance. This role requires expertise in income tax accounting and involves researching complex tax issues.
You are a dedicated tax professional with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or business. You have proven expertise in federal, state, and local tax compliance, complemented by strong income tax accounting experience. You are hands-on and detail-oriented, with a commitment to staying current with evolving legislation and tax laws. You understand the importance of timely and accurate filing of tax returns and are skilled in preparing supporting schedules for tax provisions.
In this role, you will assist with data gathering and preparation of schedules for outside tax advisors to complete the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns. You will ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including quarterly estimates and extensions. You will also assist with the preparation of extensions and estimated tax payment calculations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include preparing supporting schedules, such as book/tax differences and effective tax rate reconciliations for ASC 740 income tax provision calculations. You will conduct research on various tax issues to ensure compliance with changes in tax laws and assist with notices and audits received from various taxing authorities. Additionally, you will provide support on ad hoc projects as needed.
